The Administrative Assistant provides basic clerical assistance for the Tribal Office Manager and the Tribal Council.
Assists multiple Departments as necessary.
Provides assistance to Tribal Office Manager for event planning.
Writes letters, memos, and other such correspondence as required to perform job duties or as directed by the Tribal Council or TSM.
Scans documents into document repository.
Back up reception as needed.
Arranges for office machine maintenance, as needed.
Preps rooms for meetings.
Types, copies and distributes a variety of documents.
Runs government-to-government related errands, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

This job requires no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or GED; and two years related experience in the clerical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite, desk top and lap top computers, and machines most commonly found in an office environment.
