JOB SUMMARY:

Practice excellent customer service; Follow policy and procedures, prepare food for customers in a safe, clean and timely manner; work with others as a team; have a neat and well groomed appearance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates training in an effort to maximize employee productivity and overall employee job satisfaction.
Routinely posts labor schedule based on budgeted and projected business volume.
Ensures sufficient inventory levels of linen, china, silver, uniforms and all restaurant supplies and bar supplies.
Provides daily reports regarding revenue and volume.
Executes monthly inventory and usage for accounting and Food and Beverage Director.
Ensures all performance reviews are completed and given to team members in the time frame required.
Ensures that all team members maintains a current TIPS License and Food Handlers Certificate.
Improves team member effectiveness by coaching, counseling, training and issuing disciplinary actions; delegating and monitoring job tasks and results in a timely manner.
Implements and communicates goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
Posts calendar of events to ensure team members are informed and able to communicate accurate information to guests.
Participates in all management meetings as requested.
Resolves customer concerns and complaints and considers customer suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service and generate repeat business.
Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises employees in the Restaurant Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommend for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procurement, governmental and internal policies and procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, or employees of the organization.

MATH SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, tips, and return on cash transactions.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of uncertain variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret, communicate, and delegate instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and suggest a plan of action as necessary.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, internet, Microsoft Outlook e-mail, Inventory software and P.O.S system. Must type a minimum of 35 words per minute.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:

Must qualify for and maintain an Elk Valley Rancheria Gaming license and have a valid drivers license.

The following trainings will be offered post-employment and are required within the training schedule timeframe: Title 31, ServSafe, TIPS, sexual harassment prevention supervisory, sexual harassment prevention, ladder safety, PPE, driving safety, safety orientation for food service, safety orientation, workplace violence, back safety, drug and alcohol abuse for managers, hazard communications, office safety and office ergonomics.

Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
