Assist Purchasing with daily activities including vending, receiving supplies, deliveries, driving, inventories, purchases, store and organize items as needed and complete associated paperwork.

• Receive and ship, load and unload, store, pack and unpack stock of Gift/Smoke Shop and Vending.
• Inspect incoming shipments, observe and document shortages, refuse bad items, and inform the shipper to replace damaged items and correct shortages
• Forward items to different departments and obtain signature showing receipt of goods.
• Assist with regular shipments and deliveries as needed.
• Verify and log shipping and receiving activities, documents, package contents, source and destination of shipments and deliveries.
• Maintain inventory and monitor all stock and supplies daily in office area and Vending machines.
• Maintain and monitor storage areas, organize, clean, sort and cycle stock.
• Physically inventory Smoke Shop, candy, cigarette and soda vending machines, chew and cigar monthly or anything else that is needed
• Monitor and maintain vending candy and soda to a level that meets company requirements. Expand this practice to other fast moving stock of the Gift/Smoke Shop and Vending.
• Learn and maintain café, bar, and floor complimentary ordering and tracking systems.
• Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders
• Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service
• Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information
• Ability to execute purchasing activities on an as needed basis
• Work with management to assist in preparing purchase requests, identifying GL accounts based on budget, and obtaining approval with appropriate management.
• Interpret, follow, and communicate purchasing authorization procedures and applicable procurement policy to personnel in and outside of department.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. This includes the ability to write communicative correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, tips, and return on cash transactions.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job, successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook e-mail, internet, faxing, printing, and copying. Must type at a minimum of 25 words per minute.
